What is this a commercial for?

The new iPod / U2 commercial is advertising what? The iPod? iTunes? U2? But it also has content in the sense that it is a real music video in its own right. And there is the new U2 black iPod, a "joint product." As Jeff Jarvis says, this isn't just blurring lines, it is erasing them.

Steven Johnson says the content of the spot advertises a wide range of products:

a. The new U2 single.
b. The new U2 album.
c. The iPod.
d. iTunes.
e. The iTunes Music Store.
f. QuickTime.
g. Apple.
h. U2.
i. All of the above.
Not to mention the new U2 iPod now and, while we're at it, the concept that downloading music legally is good for your soul.
